Bristol Lithuanian Community is a non-profit, friendly, open, and non-political organisation operating on a voluntary basis. Our strength lies in the people united by a desire to preserve the Lithuanian spirit far from home.
The community welcomes people of Lithuanian origin, members of Lithuanian families, or those married to a Lithuanian, who live in Bristol or surrounding towns and are 18 years of age or older.
Membership offers the opportunity to:
- receive discounts on tickets for community-organised events;
- become part of a vibrant, active, and united Lithuanian community.
The Annual Members’ Meeting takes place once a year. During the meeting, the year’s activities are reviewed, a financial report is presented, and new initiatives are discussed. Every three years, the Community Council is elected. All members who have been part of the community for at least one year may stand as candidates.
The annual membership fee is set by the Community Council and announced at the beginning of each year. The funds collected are used to support community activities, organise events, and develop new initiatives.
