The Bristol Lithuanian Community is a place where Lithuania meets the heart of Bristol.
Here we build connections among Lithuanians, cherish our language, culture, and traditions, and share experiences and mutual support.
Our goal is for every Lithuanian in Bristol to feel at home — to have a place to speak their native language, celebrate Lithuanian holidays, raise children in the Lithuanian spirit, and feel part of a united community.
- We nurture Lithuanian identity – we celebrate national holidays, continue our traditions, and preserve our native language.
- We promote Lithuanian education in Bristol – we support the activities of Lithuanian weekend schools, the creation of new initiatives, and the availability of Lithuanian literature and educational materials in local libraries.
- We organise events – cultural, sports, and educational activities, gatherings, and community projects that strengthen our unity and sense of belonging.
- We collaborate – we maintain close ties with Lithuanian governmental institutions, the Embassy, consulates, and other Lithuanian organisations across the United Kingdom. We also promote friendly relations between Lithuania and the local communities in Bristol.
